Friendly, modern veterinary service.
Caddy Country Practice Ltd is a well-equipped mixed Country Practice with facilities for both small and large animals. We have a dedicated team of professionals who aim to provide the highest standard of patient and client care. We have a modern, and, state of the art x-ray machine, a blood analysis, scanning and scoping equipment, along with facilities to accommodate for overnight stay.
We take pride in our family friendly, veterinary service. We have a caring and motivated nursing staff who engage and deal professionally, to the many challenges we meet every day. If you need further information please give us a call.
Small Animal ServiceWe have an acute small animal, close to hospital standard veterinary practice, with provision for isolation, with kennelling facilities both inside and out. We cater for ultrasonic scanning, dental work and full surgery.
We are pleased with our facilities. We have in place, easy access to referrals for specialists/experts for some of our complex cases, so that such cases can be dealt with promptly.
Large Animal ServiceWe have a large car park, a collecting pen and loading bay with specialised cattle crushes, including a tip over crush.
With specialised crushes and collecting pens it makes sense, when cows are in critical situations, for example, needing a caesarean or severe foot lameness, to bring them to a good facility, where we can maintain cleanliness and access to all our equipment. We can therefore do much more and easily than when we travel to the farm.
Equine ServiceWe offer first opinion service with x-ray, scanning and scoping, and have a knock down box, stocks and artificial insemination.
Whilst we prefer to deal with our equine cases at the surgery, where all the equipment is, we can visit horses at the convenience of the owner. This has been greatly enhanced by the arrival of the mobile x-ray unit, which means that x-rays are now available immediately at the location of the horse. The equine work commonly involves scanning, scoping, lameness examinations, prior to purchase examinations and surgery.
Working for Charities / Helping Out
We are privileged to be working for The Donkey Sanctuary, The Friends of Assisi, Dogs Trust, Cats Protection League and the Council.
It is a rewarding feeling that we are helping to make a difference to the lives of animals that have undergone difficult times.
Pet Health Plans
We are encouraging our small animal owners to consider taking up pet health plans, which helps them spread the price of preventative care, over one year. This is a great way to provide your pet with the best preventative health care while at the same time spreading the cost and saving money over the year.
